MILLINGTON, Tenn. (AP) - A member of the National Guard who opened fire at an armory outside a U.S. Navy base in Millington is a sergeant first class and the two soldiers he wounded are his superiors.

Maj. Gen. Max Haston, Tennessee's adjutant general, briefed reporters on Thursday's shooting.

Authorities have not released the name of the shooter or the victims, both of whom suffered non-life threatening injuries.

But Haston says one of the victims is a major and the other is a sergeant major. The shooter is a sergeant first class.

He says the victims are being treated at a local hospital and were to be released.
