Missing 7-Year-Old Cordova Boy Found

Braving freezing temperatures, Memphis Police, Shelby County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Team, and concerned neighbors spent Wednesday night searching for a missing 7-year-old.
UPDATE: Dominic Jeffries, the 7-year-old boy who'd gone missing in Cordova, has been found safe this morning.

Dominic was last seen Wednesday at about 5:15. 20 officers were out last night searching for Dominic.

MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com)-- Braving freezing temperatures, Memphis Police, Shelby County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Team and concerned neighbors spent Wednesday night searching for a missing 7-year-old.

According to Memphis Police, Dominic Jeffries was last seen walking his dog around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 7500 block of Emerald Greens Dr.

Neighbors say they received a phone call alert through their homeowners association that Jeffries was missing. One woman said she immediately put on her coat and started searching. She said she couldn't sleep at night knowing Jeffries was lost out in the cold.

Shelby County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Team and two tracking dogs were also out late Wednesday.

Another neighbor described Jeffries as a smart and very polite 7-year-old. She said that he loves to play with his black dog in the family's front yard.

Police say Dominic is about 4-feet tall and was last seen wearing a brown skull cap and a black jacket. He was walking a small black Shihtzu.
