Law Enforcement Agencies Gear Up For Halloween Night

Law enforcement agencies want trick or treaters to be safe this Halloween.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Law enforcement agencies want trick or treaters to be safe this Halloween.

In an effort to protect everyone heading out this Halloween, the Tennessee Hghway Parol is stepping up their efforts across the state.

Emanuel Walton is on the hunt for a Halloween costume to join in on all the fun with his family.

"I trick or treat with them for the family for the family experience,” Walton said.

Walton said his kids are already set with their costumes.

“I have one that's dressing up as batman,” Walton said.

But his son will be prepared to walk the streets as "The Dark Knight" safely.

"Also went to the dollar tree and go some glow sticks, also his particular costume has a reflective bat symbol and some reflective areas," Walton said.

That's just what law enforcement agencies want to hear as kids everywhere prepare for trick or treating tonight.

Tennessee Highway Patrol said troopers will be out in greater numbers on the lookout for reckless speeding drivers who may disregard the fact that kids and parents will be out and about.

So remember to slow down. Otherwise you'll get pulled over.

It's a timely reassurance for this parent.

"It shows their concern for everyone not just the kids but everyone in general,” Walton said.
