Man Killed When Parked Car Struck On Interstate 40

Arkansas State Police say an Illinois man was killed when his parked car was struck by another car on the shoulder of Interstate 40 near Forrest City.
FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say an Illinois man was killed when his parked car was struck by another car on the shoulder of Interstate 40 near Forrest City.

Troopers say 56-year-old George Hines Jr. died in the collision shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday.

An ASP report says Hines was parked on the westbound shoulder of the interstate when the second car went off the roadway and crashed into the rear of Hines' car. The other driver is hospitalized in Forrest City with undisclosed injuries.
