Two Men Plead Not Guilty In Hit & Run Accident

Two men charged in a fatal hit and run accident entered not guilty pleas today in court.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Two men charged in a fatal hit and run accident entered not guilty pleas today in court.

William Hancock and Noel Wilborne are charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.

Both appeared via teleconference today.

Their attorneys entered their not guilty pleas.

The accident happened on i-55 south, just south of Shelby Drive in Whitehaven around 1:30 in the morning on December 28th.

According to Memphis police, a man dropped his cell phone on the highway.

He was hit when he got out of his car in the emergency lane to pick up his phone.

The car dragged him and kept going.

Both Hancock and Wilborne are out of jail tonight.
