The smell of snack cakes could soon return to the Dolly Madison plant in Columbus as Hostessprepares to relaunch production.

Wonder Bread is one step closer to making a comeback. A bid by Flowers Foods to buy several Hostess brands was accepted by the now bankrupt company Wednesday.

Flower Foods has put up nearly $400 million to buy six Hostess Bread brands. Along with the dough comes 38 of the company's depots and 20 bakeries, including the one here in Memphis.
