Sherwin Williams helps spruce up Bernal Smith Boys & Girls Club

A beautifying project was held at the Boys and Girls Club named after late prominent Memphis journalist Bernal Smith.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A beautifying project was held at the Boys and Girls Club named after late prominent Memphis journalist Bernal Smith.

Volunteers from Sherwin Williams donated their time and supplies Friday to clean and paint several spaces at the center in Hickory Hill.

The Fortune 500 company thrives off sales from the building materials, but Friday, they used it to give back.

“They do so much for our community and Sherwin Williams wants to be part of that growth within the community,” says Marty Dexter, district sales manager. “It’s something that we all need to be part of and really enjoy doing and we come together as a family and a group to show what’s really important.”

This is all to prepare for summer camp and to recognize Sherwin-Williams’ National Painting Week, dedicated to the power of paint and color in our homes and communities.
