Organization makes stop in Memphis to feed the need for Thanksgiving

Mothers and Men against Senseless Killing - or MASK - made a stop in midtown Memphis Friday on their four state "turkey trot" road trip.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Dozens of families were able to get the food they need for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Mothers and Men against Senseless Killing - or MASK - made a stop in midtown Memphis Friday on their four state "turkey trot" road trip. The goal is to feed 1,000 families.

Each family received enough food to feed four people.

The organization will make a stop in Mississippi before heading to Indiana and Illinois over the weekend.

MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings) was established in 2015 as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence and crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies. A group of caring individuals in the community began to simply hang out on the block, cook food, and emanate love.
