Black Friday shopping guide, with deals and steals you can snag now

Black Friday isn’t just one day anymore. It’s become more of a shopping marathon.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Black Friday isn’t just one day anymore. It’s become more of a shopping marathon. 

With shoppers projected to spend $1,047 each this holiday season, getting a good deal has never been more important. Early specials and buy now ads are flooding retail websites so shoppers can get good deals days before Black Friday.

“I think it’s all about competition between these companies and trying to outdo each other,” shared Michael Bonebright at DealNews.com, who follows Black Friday shopping trends.

Stores are willing to offer you deep discounts and freebies to get you in the door.

J.C. Penny is offering mad dash deals including 60% off jackets through Saturday and 25% off everything is you spend $100 or more.

On Thanksgiving Day $500, $100 and $10 coupons will be handed out by the retailer before doors open at 2 p.m. Some will still head to the mall.

“Forever 21, I also plan to come to Pink and Hot Topic,” said shopper Angela Henderson. 

Wolfchase Galleria is offering deals before you walk into a store Black Friday morning.

“We are giving out 150 survival kit bags to those customers,” said Marketing Director Marichu Ricablanca. “They’re going to consist of offers and gifts and stress balls, because they’ll need that.”

If you’re a savvy shopper, you’ll definitely want to check out Macy’s, they have some of the best rebate offers where you can save money on everything from perfume, electronics and also cookware.”

After rebates, $400 worth of items would be free.

If you prefer Christmas shopping online, which 56% said they did, some of Amazon’s Black Friday deals went live Friday. That included saving 20% on some gift cards.

The experts say the lowest prices are still predicted on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.

“These pre-Black Friday sales are temporary and what they are meant to do is set the tone and to wet your appetite,” said Bonewright.
