FedEx announces FedEx Cares 50 by 50 program

(NEWS RELEASE) – FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) is proud toannounce the next stage of its global community engagement program – FedExCares 50 by 50, a new journey to deliver hope, change and new possibilitiesfor 50 million people by the company’s 50th anniversary in 2023.FedEx launched the new strategy after exceeding its goal to invest $200 millionin 200 global communities by 2020 six months early.

“At FedEx, we believe that when we connect people andpossibilities, we can change the world,” said Raj Subramaniam, president andCOO, FedEx Corporation. “FedEx Cares 50 by 50 will allow us to continue to workwith some of the world’s top nonprofits to move the needle on social challengeslike sustainable transportation, road safety and youth unemployment. We willalso focus on the unique needs of local communities where we live and operateby creating connections with community leaders and supporting nonprofits. In short,we are delivering hope, change and new possibilities for 50 million people.”

FedEx Cares 50 by 50 will launch at the WorldGolf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational hosted at TPC Southwind inMemphis. Justin Rose, the 2018 FedExCup champion, will participate in a“Putting for Positive Impact” challenge to help generate up to a $50,000donation from FedEx to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in which the fundswould positively impact patients.

“It is truly an honor to be part of the FedEx Cares 50by 50 launch celebration at the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. JudeInvitational,” said Justin Rose, 2018 FedExCup Champion. “I’ve admired thecompany’s commitment to using its PGA TOUR sponsorship to positively impactcommunities across the globe, and I look forward to seeing how they continue todo so through FedEx Cares 50 by 50.”

Tournament attendees will also have the chance topositively impact St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For every 50-foot puttmade by fans at the practice putting green between Thursday, July 25 andSunday, July 28, FedEx will make a donation to St. Jude Children’s ResearchHospital, up to $10,000, on behalf of the FedEx Cares 50 by 50 program.
