Memphis Potters Guild holds spring pottery sale

40th semi-annual potters show held in Germantown, and local artists were on hand to help people learn how to make their own pottery.

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — The Memphis Potters Guild is making the most out of the official last days of spring. This weekend they held a spring pottery sale at the Shops of Saddle Creek. Shoppers could find six different types of pottery from at least 14 vendors, all offering unique statement pieces to bring home and add spark to a room.

“When you use your special coffee cup in the morning that you go to every single day and know that somebody lovingly made this piece of pottery, it's just a connection somehow, I don't know, I really love it. You become part of someone's day-to-day life. You’re now their little routine. It's a very intimate thing,” said Lisa Hudson.

This is the 40th semi-annual potters show, and local artists were on hand to help people learn how to make their own pottery.
