Where to apply for COVID-19 rent and utility relief in Shelby County

The program is reopening applications starting Wednesday, June 1.

SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — The Shelby County COVID-19 Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program is reopening applications Wednesday, June 1, 2022. 

The program has helped thousands of Shelby County residents since it first began in 2021.

To qualify, you have to be past due on rent or utilities, had financial loss due to the coronavirus pandemic or have a household income less than 80 percent of the county's median income.

To get help with an application, call 211 or email help@home901.org. You can also text "HOME901" to 21000. To get help in Spanish text "CASA901" to 2100.

Applicants can find more information and check the status of their applications online.
