Tegna Foundation gives Heal the Hood a $24K community grant

The grant is going towards the non-profit's goal of building the Hero Empowerment Center in Hickory Hill.

We are proud to announce that Heal the Hood Foundation of Memphis has received a community grant from the Tegna Foundation. 

Wednesday, Heal the Hood CEO Ladell Beamon received 24-thousand dollars towards the non-profit's goal of building the Hero Empowerment Center in Hickory Hill.  

This group is planning a superhero-themed outreach center to teach kids the arts and life skills and hopefully keep them off the streets.
