Memphis Police searching for man who broke into local church

Police said the suspect broke into the church September 5th and stole electronics.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for a burglar who broke into St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church on Keating Street.

Investigators said a man was caught on camera breaking into one of the church's pre-k' classrooms and stole electronics.

It happened on September 5, 2021.

Staff at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church found that someone had broken into one of the church’s Pre-K classrooms and stole electronic items. Surveillance footage from the church showed that a lone male suspect was responsible for the break-in. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
