Knox Co. Schools report 65 active COVID-19 cases

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Students returned to school in Knox County on Aug. 24. The system is releasing COVID-19 data daily here.

October 29

On Thursday, Knox County Schools reported 65 total active COVID-19 cases. Officials said that 41 students and 24 staff have active cases.

There are now 880 students and 121 staff embers in quarantine or isolation, for a total of 1,001 people in isolation or quarantine.

In its COVID-19 status metrics, Knox County shows "yellow " (15%-20% absent/vacant) for substitute availability and custodial staff. The school staff attendance, bus services and cafeteria support metrics remain "green."

October 28

On Wednesday, Knox County Schools reported 65 total active COVID-19 cases. Officials said that 41 students and 24 staff have active cases.

There are now 823 students and 114 staff members in quarantine or isolation, for a total of 937 people in isolation or quarantine.

On Tuesday, Knox County Schools reported 72 total active COVID-19 cases. Officials said that 45 students and 27 staff have active cases.

There are now 794 students and 115 staff members in quarantine or isolation, for a total of 909 people in isolation or quarantine.

On Friday, Knox County Schools reported 77 total active COVID-19 cases. Officials said that 46 students and 31 staff have active cases.

There are now 501 students and 111 staff members in quarantine or isolation, for a total of 612 people in isolation or quarantine.

On Wednesday, Knox County Schools reported 58 total active COVID-19 cases -- up by 14 from Tuesday, tying the highest level of total active cases on September 10 and becoming the second-highest single-day jump since August 31. 45 students and 13 staff have active cases.

There are now 1,004 students and 91 staff members in quarantine or isolation, up by nearly 120 from yesterday to a total of 1,095.

On Tuesday, KCS reported 44 total active cases, including 33 students and 11 staff members. That represents a drop from over the weekend.

There are 908 students and 71 staff members in quarantine or isolation for a total of 979.
