2,327 new cases & 34 new deaths in Arkansas

6:20 p.m. - The Arkansas Department of Health reports 2,327 new COVID-19 cases and 34 new deaths, for a total of 176,652 cases and 2,786 deaths in the state.

There are currently 18,765 active cases in Arkansas.

CORRECTED: 2,746 new cases & 24 new deaths in Mississippi

UPDATE 2:30 p.m. - The Mississippi State Department of Health sent out a corrected case count for Wednesday, saying there are 2,746 new cases and 24 new deaths, for a total of 170,672 cases and 4,041 deaths in the state,

WATCH: Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announces new COVID-19 measures in the state

2:30 p.m. - Watch HERE.

(NEWS RELEASE) - Today, Governor Tate Reeves announced additional COVID-19 measures in an effort to keep Mississippians safe. The Executive Orders that are in place are set to expire on Friday, December 11th. 

In an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19 statewide, for social gatherings where social distancing is not possible, crowds will be limited to a group of no more than ten in a single space indoors. For outdoor social gatherings, no more than 50 people should be in close proximity. 

Face coverings in schools are also required statewide whenever social distancing is not possible. They are also required when indoors and interacting with the public in the following counties: 

Adams, Alcorn, Amite, Attala, Bolivar, Calhoun, Carroll, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clarke, Clay, Coahoma, Copiah, Covington, De Soto, Forrest, Franklin, Grenada, Harrison, Hinds, Holmes, Itawamba, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Lafayette, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Lee, Leflore, Lincoln, Lowndes, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Montgomery, Neshoba, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Panola, Pearl River, Perry, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Rankin, Scott, Simpson, Stone, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union, Washington, Webster, Winston, Yalobusha and Yazoo Counties.

Indoor sports venues for K-12 extracurricular events will be limited to the lesser of four spectators per student participant or 250 ticketed spectators. Other indoor arenas will be limited to the lesser of ten percent seating capacity or 1,000 attendees. 

"All of these measures are important, and I hope that the people of Mississippi will make an honest effort to participate in slowing the spread of the virus," Governor Tate Reeves said.

8,213 new cases & 62 new deaths in Tennessee

2:00 p.m. - The Tennessee Department of Health reports 8,213 new COVID-19 cases and 62 new deaths, for a total of 422,962 cases and 5,171 deaths in the state.

There are currently 2,605 hospitalizations in the state.

588 new cases & 7 new deaths in Shelby County

10:00 a.m. - The Shelby County Health Department reports 588 new COVID-19 cases and 7 new deaths, for a total of 52,363 cases and 716 deaths in the county.

There have been 48,188 recoveries in the county.

3,658 new cases & 25 new deaths in Mississippi

8:45 a.m. - The Mississippi State Department of Health reports 3,658 new COVID-19 cases and 25 new deaths, for a total of 171,584 cases and 4,042 deaths in the state.

Desoto County has a total of 11,437 cases and 110 deaths.
