Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
To get to Africa for a week-long mission trip this summer, Grace Meeks, a junior at Houston High School in Germantown, is taking matters into her own hands. figuratively and literally.
“I have a passion for sharing what Jesus has done in my life and spreading awareness about what he’s done for the whole world,” said Meeks.
What started as a hobby is now her money-making enterprise to help her raise the $3000 needed to go to Ethiopia.
“I’m going with some dear friends of mine from my church,” said Meeks. “I’m really excited about that.”
For the right price, Meeks will design and sew prom dresses and gowns for you.
“I love dressing up and I have since I was little,” said Meeks. “I love Disney and so I decided I would make one.”
Now that her sewing skills have taken off, for Grace, it’s the best way to share her faith.
“The Lord has definitely helped me use this gift to help others and it’s fun,” said Meeks.
