Numerous complaints led to numerous arrests in Southaven, Mississippi.

Eleven people were arrested Wednesday afternoon when narcotics officers served a search warrant at a home off Highway 51. Officers found meth and crystal meth inside the home.

“I thought they had a meth lab back there or something,” said neighbor Cody Matheson.

After multiple complaints, Southaven narcotics officers served a search warrant to this house in Colonial Hills. Police found meth and crystal meth in the home. Eleven people, all from Southaven, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Southaven officers credit neighbors for calling in complaints.

“They’ve had a lot of traffic going in and out of their house, four, five in the morning. Cars would cut through their yard, cut through our driveway. Loud, yelling, arguing, cussing at each other,” said Matheson.

Southaven Police Lt. Mark Little says they look into every complaint they get. But he wants residents to realize it can sometimes take several weeks, even longer, to gather enough evidence for a search warrant.

“I’ve got a two year old son and two nephews. If they’re doing drugs over there, hard core drugs, that’s not something I want over here,” said Matheson. “You’ve just gotta stand up and get that stuff out of your neighborhood, you know.”

The eleven suspects arrested have been identified as Brian Hayes, Kristen Harris, Courtnee Gray, Shane Hickman, James Miller, Steven Williiams, Zachary Hayes, Ashley Canady, Whitney Hickman, Brack Harris and April Staggs.
