250 Mid-Southerners take part in special naturalization ceremonies

The Independence Day holiday is a special one for hundreds of people living in the Mid-South, who can now celebrate the Fourth of July as an American citizen.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The Independence Day holiday is a special one for hundreds ofpeople living in the Mid-South, who can now celebrate the Fourth of July as an Americancitizen.

Two special naturalization ceremonies were held Wednesday at the BenjaminHooks library as part of a national celebration for the birth of our country. 250people from at least 50 countries became new citizens.

In total, the U.S. will welcome 7500 new citizens in more than 100ceremonies through July 5th.
