A 4-year-old child, kidnapped while playing in her Whitehaven front yard, is reunited with her mother. But her kidnapper is on the run.
Chriselle Warren is being examined at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
“They was tears of sorrow they tears of joyful now. Amen. They are very tears of joyful I got my niece back,” said Tasha Myers, Warren’s aunt.
Four-year-old Chriselle Warren is now safe after being taken from her Whitehaven front yard at 5:15 this evening.
According to Memphis Police, she was playing in the yard with her brother when the suspect ran up and grabbed her.
“What happened was my nephew niece were outside in the yard playing. A guy in a red car came up snatched her,” said Chandra Whitelow, Warren’s aunt.
Warren’s brother gave a description and police searched on foot, with K-9s, and by helicopter.
Nearly two hours later they found the child a few streets away walking in front of a home.

“She is not dead, laying in no ditch, raped, none of that. I thank God. I thank God,” Myers said.
Police are looking for a man in an older model Toyota with a hatch back. There was no tag, and the car was oxidized like it needed to be painted.
