MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- October is domestic violence awareness month and Saturday morning, dozens of people hit the pavement in honor of a woman who lost her life nearly a decade ago.
Taffi Crawford was gunned down by her estranged ex-boyfriend as she reported to work as a nurse back in 2010.
Saturday, her family and friends held a 5K at New Fellowship Christian Church in Olive Branch.
The 5K raised awareness and support for domestic violence victims and survivors across the Mid-South.
