A seven-year-old Arkansas boy is getting a lot of attention as Republican lawmakers across the country are facing fiery town halls.

At a town hall meeting Wednesday night, he stood up and asked about President Trump’s plan to build a wall on the Mexico border. Toby Smith asked the question to Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton during a heated town hall meeting in Springdale.

People in the crowded auditorium cheered and applauded Toby as he addressed the congressman.

“I asked him about the wall, and all the stuff he was deleting,” said Toby. “Donald Trump is deleting PBS kids, just to build a wall, because he doesn’t like Mexicans and he’s taking down parks. People like parks, people like PBS kids, and the Mexican wall, people like Mexicans.”

Senator Cotton responded by saying whatever your background, we are a melting pot and that we are one people, but that we have to protect our citizens.
