A security camera at Budget Liquor Store captured a picture of the suspected serial robber holding a gun up and wearing a black ski mask.

“It was scary. The first thing that goes through your mind is to make sure everybody safe,” said Matthew May, a manager at Budget Liquor.

May said his nephew was working March 29 when May got a phone call about the robbery.

“I called the police, 911 because they were down on the ground counting and they didn’t want to get up until they were sure it was safe,” said May.

Surveillance video from Leno’s Liquor on Summer Avenue caught the gunman wearing a gray hoodie with an “R” detail April 26.

“I never did hear ’til the other day that others had been hit,” said May.

According to Memphis FBI, in all 8 cases, the suspect had a similar routine. He pointed a pistol at the victims and demanded money from the register. He then told the victims to get on the ground before he got away.

Workers told Local Memphis they hope the FBI’s reward will bring the spree to an end.

Workers now hope the FBI’S five thousand dollars reward will bring this spree to an end.

“Hopefully someone out there knows exactly who it is or maybe he’s bragged to someone that he’s been doing this and they turn him in,” said May.

The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous. He is 6 feet tall, around 160 pounds, and between 30 – 35 years old.
