FedEx is sponsoring a free admission day Monday at the National Civil Rights Museum in honor of MLK50.
Free admission starts at 9 a.m. and goes until 7 p.m.
Visitors will have the opportunity to gaze at past civil rights movements, while getting motivated for the work that still needs to be done in the present.
Ahead of MLK50 commemoration events, the Shelby County Office of Preparedness asks you to be patient and plan for extra time at security checkpoints, parking areas, and walking venues.
Officials also suggest you make sure your phone is fully charged before heading out to these events.
