MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A FedEx executive is responding about a worker killed on the job. His family now lawyered up conducting an independent investigation.
Duntate Young was working at the FedEx superhub early Wednesday morning when he was injured. He died at the hospital.
Young’s family is hearing information from his co-workers.They say the door of a moving heavy metal structure snagged onto him. FedEx will only say it’s still looking into it.
“The investigation is just not final yet. The videotape that we have does not conclude all the facts. We have reached out to the family to tell them we are available that anything we can share with them, we are ready to do that,” said Shannon Brown, FedEx Senior VP of Operations.
The victim’s family denies FedEx has reached out to them.
