Many of you tune in to FM100 during your daily drives around Memphis, and Friday, the radio station “drove” up donations to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
FM100 hosted a “12 hours for kids” radiothon that started at 6:00 a.m. Morning show hosts Michelle Lewis and Ryan Anderson hosted the radiothon live from the lobby of Le Bonheur.
All 12 hours of on-air time featured music and stories of how Le Bonheur has touched the lives of people all over the world.
“We really want Memphis to come out strong and proud today and just show their support. It’s all about raising money so we can keep making these miracles happen. That’s what it’s all about,” said the hosts. “A lot of people don’t think they’ll ever have to step foot in Le Bonheur hospital, but we hear over and over from the patients here now that ‘we never thought we’d be here, and we are’ and Le Bonheur is right here in Memphis in our back yard here doing miracles every day and we’re so lucky.”
Several posts on the radio stations Facebook page showed several donations of $1,000 or more through the day.
