OXFORD, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – For the first time, we are hearing from the best friends of murdered Ole Miss student, Ally Kostial.
Police say her classmate and ex-boyfriend, Brandon Theesfeld, is the one who shot her multiple times.
Claire Sigrit and Hannah Chauvin sat down exclusively with ABC News.
The girls met at Ole Miss their freshman year and instantly became friends.
Police found Kostial’s body near Sardis Lake in Mississippi July 20.
Kostial’s friends are still having difficulty accepting they won’t see her when they return to college this fall.
“Ally taught us how to look on the positive side of any situation. It’s a traumatic time. We just have to think, we’re just so lucky to have met Ally and have spent so many great times with her,” said Hannah Chauvin, Ally’s best friend.
A GoFundMe account set up to help cover Kostial’s funeral expenses more than doubled its goal. We are told the extra money will be used to fund charitable work in her name.
