NESBIT, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – A dream come true for the Horn Lake High School football team. The state champions received their championship rings Thursday night.
They are long overdue. The players had been working hard to raise $35,000 for the rings.
Kendall Prewett, a former horn lake football player turned business owner, donated the last $2,000 needed.
Horn Lake was a perfect 15-0 last season and beat Oak Grove 31-27 November 30 to become MHSAA 6A state champs.
