Hardcore gamers will have a new place to compete and socialize in South Memphis.
Brave Dog Games hosted a “groundbreaking” ceremony Saturday for the brand-new Innovation Center at the corner of Mississippi and Walker Avenue.
The center will feature a video game lounge, an EA sports arena, a gift shop and more.
Brave Dog’s CEO Dustin Mack says he’s excited about the project and what it can do for a community that doesn’t often get first dibs on new businesses.
“The heart of the community here is important to us. We want to ensure that under-represented communities are represented in the industry in which we support, so having an innovation center here really allows us to connect to the Soulsville initiatives and the other initiatives to revive this community,” said Mack.
Work on the Innovation Center is expected to be finished in three months.
