Enter the 2Unique Closet Boutique. Here you can find suits, dresses, shirts and pants. But, it’s not just clothing here. You see, this isn’t your typical boutique. It’s a closet of sorts to help families that have fallen on hard times.
Roshunda Buchanan is the brainchild behind the boutique. And, she created the store to help families who have experienced hardships like a house fire, individuals who are unemployed or have lost their jobs, the homeless, and those that just can’t meet their basic needs.
“We have clothing, toiletries, personal hygiene products, everything you can think of that will suit a family unit,” said 2Unique Closet Boutique owner Roshunda Buchanan.
And those items are free to those individuals.
Roshunda also mentors youth and young adults in the Memphis Metro area, helping them prepare for different careers. But, Roshunda believes whether you are young or old, to find your true legacy, you must first find your design.
“There’s a lost identity when you don’t know who you are,” said Buchanan. “I can’t look in your mirror if I can’t see my vision.”
And her vision is to be a giver.
“My heart is to serve, and my mom really taught us how to serve at a young age,” said Buchanan.

The 2Unique Closet Boutique is inside the Hickory Ridge Mall. And, Roshunda is a busy lady. She also offers professional development training in urban communities, going to churches and correctional facilities.
