We have heard from thousands of viewers. They are sounding off after watching exclusive Local 24 video of a Memphis police officer hitting and kicking a man after he was down on the ground.
Local I-Team reporter Maria Hallas and her photographer caught the arrest on camera while working on another assignment.
It happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Cordova and the video has gone viral.

Mike Williams said it is important to consider the incident from the officer’s point of view.
“Yes they were they were rough because he has already had indications that he did not want to comply with authority so until he is in custody he is going to be treated as such. Period,” Williams said.
