Deluxe Corporation today announced that Searcy, Arkansas won Season 4 of the “Small Business Revolution – Main Street” contest. Searcy edged our five other communities in a national public vote.

By winning the contest, the Searcy community will receive a $500,000 revitalization for six small businesses and the downtown area and be featured in the highly acclaimed, eight-episode series that streams on Hulu and SmallBusinessRevolution.org.

Deluxe received more than 12,000 nominations for Season 4 from small towns across the country. During the week-long voting process, more and 1.6 million votes poured into www.smallbusinessrevolution.org. The other communities in the contest were Camas, Washington, Canon City, Colorado, Corsicana, Texas, Durant, Oklahoma and Washington, North Carolina.

“This was the most intense voting process we have witnessed in the four years of Small Business Revolution – Main Street,” said Amanda Brinkman, Deluxe’s Chief Brand and Communications Officer and host of the show.  “Our entire Deluxe small business marketing team is excited to get to work to help the Searcy business community.”

The Small Business Revolution team from Deluxe toured the U.S. in January, visiting the top 10 communities considered for this year’s contest. From there, the top six towns were selected for a public vote that ended on Feb. 19. Now, filming will begin in early March as Brinkman and co-host, renovation icon Ty Pennington, along with marketing experts from Deluxe Corporation, look to make over the small business community in Searcy.

“The community spirit and camaraderie that we witnessed during the voting phase was simply incredible,” explained Barry McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer of Deluxe Corporation. “While each town wanted to win, the sentiment online was one of support for all small businesses and how important they are to the economy of our country. We are proud to have started this movement.”

Deluxe debuted the Small Business Revolution in 2015 to celebrate a century of providing marketing and other services to small businesses and financial institutions. The campaign started by telling 100 stories of small businesses across the country. In doing so, Deluxe found a need to support and celebrate small towns that originally inspired the “Small Business Revolution – Main Street” and its $500,000 boost. The first two seasons of the show can be seen at SmallBusinessRevolution.org.
