Local Kids Honored For Hardwork On The Football Field

The teamwork, friendship and pride that’s what makes the Whitehaven Cowboys who they are. As they gathered to fellowship Sunday evening.

The Cowboys teach good values through the game of football and spirit of cheering for kids under 12.

The team gathered in the airport area Sunday for a special year end dinner. Local 24 Sports Director Doc Holliday was one of the featured guest, he used his time at the mic to give some words of advice to the younger.

“So the ones that gave me discipline are the ones that I appreciate so much because they prepared me for life whether I wanted to listen or I wanted to hear it back in the day it prepared me and that’s the same thing going on with you all young people.” says Doc Holliday

The Cowboys are a non-profit organization that has been around for more than three decades. It prides itself on developing young players, physically and mentally for the next level of football and life.
