The city’s chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. hosted its annual Black History youth luncheon. The theme of Friday’s event was “Youth of today, leaders of tomorrow.”
Local pilot and certified airport planner Bernard Green spoke to up and coming students who are interested in aviation.
“There are a variety of professional positions that they can do in the aviation field. Engineers: Someone has to design them, make them, plan them out, pilots who operate on them.”
One student who attended the lecture plans to attend MTSU and become an air traffic controller.
Others were interested in becoming pilots.
