A man is charged with murder after a woman was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Tunica County.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a shooting call to Casino Strip just before 5:15 a.m. When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle parked in the road, and a woman lying shot and killed outside the car. She has been identified as Olletta F, Jones, 45, of Newton, Mississippi.
Investigators arrested and charged Joseph Bland, 33, or Robinsonville, MS. His bond is set at $1 million.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Tunica County Sheriff’s Department in the investigation.
