The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department says a suspect is dead after a chase with deputies and Hernando Police early Wednesday morning.
Investigators say 24-year-old Wesley Andrew Brandon of Memphis was wanted, with an endangered juvenile from Jackson, Tennessee. Hernando Police chased when Brandon was spotted, but he got away before wrecking at Slocum and Mccraken Road.
Investigators say that’s when Brandon pulled out a gun and shot himself. He was taken to the hospital but later died.
The juvenile was unharmed and taken into protective custody.
