MEMPHIS, Tenn (localmemphis.com) – People gathered in Downtown Memphis Saturday for the Howl at the Moon Gala to help our four-legged friends in need.
The Memphis based non-profit, Streetdog Foundation, rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes stray and abandoned dogs in the Mid-South area. The organization is completely run by volunteers and donations.
The Howl at the Moon Gala raises the majority of the organizations annual funding for the year so the Streetdog Foundation can save more street dogs.
“To give these dogs a second chance at life who have never, potentially never, known love and affection. What a real meal tastes like and what a warm bed feels like. So, it’s an opportunity to help the community in that area.” said Erica Lindsey who works with the Streetdog Foundation.
