MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – There was a lot of splashing and kicking Thursday at the Bickford Aquatic Center. It was all part of the world’s largest swimming lesson.
The huge swim lesson in Memphis was just one of many, happeningin about 500 locations in 20 countries.
Every year, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital treats nearly 40children for drowning or near drowning, which is why learning to swim is soimportant.
About 100 kids and their families took part in Thursday’slessons.
