MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- The Memphis Zoo welcomed the fall season over the weekend by hosting their annual Harvest Fest.
Families were able to enjoy the animals, live folk music, square dancing and other activities.
The event also gave visitors the chance to learn how to churn butter,make pottery and garden.
The Memphis Zoo says they always strive to mix entertainment and learning.
Chief Marketing Officer Nick Harmeier of the Memphis Zoo explained to Local 24 News their initial goal at the Memphis Zoo.
“One of our number one things we want to do at the zoo is create fun and education together so it just brings a really good light to our local partnerships and kicking off fall and doing it in a fun way.”
