We all want a beautiful smile and a local mission made that happen for folks here in the Mid-South. For the fourth year, they are calling it their ‘Mission of Mercy.’
‘Mission of Mercy’ is for anyone in the Mid-South, not just Shelby County, who needs dental services. That includes cleanings and even extractions.
When you come in, all you do is check in with the people at the front. No proof of income or a license is required.
This free 2-day event is all about educating under-served, under-insured individuals in the area about the importance of oral health.
“This is what we need right here the way the economy is right now. This is what we need in the world. It’s a blessing and I’m very thankful,” says Derrick Johnson, a Mid-South Mission of Mercy Participant.
“It’s even better when you do it for free, to just help the community. It’s so much more than just the dentistry. I love all the different people that come together, sometimes you don’t see these people but once a year,” says Dr. Mitchel Godat, Mid-South Mission of Mercy CEO.
If you couldn’t make it out Friday, they will be doing it again Saturday starting at 6:00 a.m.
Patients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis until capacity is reached for the day.
