It’s being called the largest mobile dental clinic in the world, and it kicks off Friday in Memphis.
Thursday, the Mid-South Mission of Mercy made final preps for the large crowd. Every year, hundreds of people turn out for urgent dental needs. There’s no proof of income, license, or appointment needed.
Dentists and volunteers from across the Mid-South are expected to perform more than 1500 procedures, all on a first come, first serve basis.
“Everyone has dental needs. They can get infection in their mouth, maybe a filling that’s loose, maybe they’re in pain. We’ll help you out, make you comfortable and help you smile again,” said Mitchel Godat, CEO of Midsouth Mission of Mercy.
Organizers say be sure to bring a list of medications you may be taking.
The clinic runs Friday and Saturday at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova. It opens at 6:00 a.m. each day until capacity is reached. CLICK HERE to learn more.
