Months after prominent businessman Glenn Cofield is shot to death in Memphis, Ole Miss honors him

An Ole Miss fraternity now has a scholarship in honor of a Memphis philanthropist and Ole Miss alum who was shot to death after a fundraiser.

OXFORD, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – An Ole Miss fraternity now has a scholarship in honor of a Memphis philanthropist and Ole Miss alum who was shot to death after a fundraiser.

Glenn Cofield was shot and killed in a parking lot in Binghampton in June. Last week, the Kappa Alpha Order announced a scholarship in their fraternity brother’s name to continue and honor his legacy. Cofield worked as an independent financial advisor.

The Glenn Cofield Memorial Scholarship Fund currently is accepting monetary donations.

His murder remains unsolved, and the unusually high CrimeStoppers reward –$26,000– for information in the case still is available. The number is 901-528-CASH.
