A Memphis mom accused of killing her 7-week-old baby plead guilty Monday to reckless homicide.
Andrea Walker reported her daughter missing on January 9, 2014. She told police that she left baby Aniston at home with her 3-year-old brother, and when she returned 30 minutes later, the baby was gone.
MEMPHIS Mar. 6, 2017 – A mother indicted in 2014 of the first-degree murder of her 7-week-old baby plead guilty today, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
In a plea agreed to by the State, Andrea Walker plead guilty to reckless homicide Monday.
Judge Mark Ward approved the agreement and sentenced Walker to 4 years suspended sentence and ordered her to supervised probation.
Walker had been indicted on charges of first-degree murder in the perpetration of aggravated child abuse or aggravated child neglect or endangerment; aggravated child abuse involving neglect or endangerment of a child under age eight and aggravated child abuse and abuse of a corpse.

The body of Aniston Walker was found five weeks later in a ditch at Singleton Parkway, south of Highway 385 in Millington.
The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
