MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Memphis firefighters received a little star power Friday to help “fill the boot.” Mrs. Tennessee International Brandi Middleton joined firefighters on their month-long campaign to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The money collected goes to help battle against neuro-muscular diseases in children and adults.
Middleton says as a Memphis native, she’s excited to give back to the bluff city.
“I love helping to give back to Memphis. I’m from here, my hometown. So whatever we can do to make Memphis better, but to help the MDA is amazing,” she says. “Such a good cause, so everybody please come out and help us fill the boots.”
All the money raised will stay local, providing wheelchairs, clinic visits, and even a week-long summer camp for Mid-South kids and adults.
