CORDOVA, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- A Cordova man will not face any charges after he shot and killed a pitbull for allegedly attacking an elderly woman.
Memphis Police say the attack happened in the 8700 block of Old Post Road Saturday morning.
The victim told police she was walking her yorkie when they were both attacked by a gray pitbull.
Police say the neighbor heard the attack, came out and fired four shots at the dog. The pitbull died on the scene.
The woman suffered some minor cuts and bruises but is expected to be okay.
