MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Rallies were held across the nation Tuesday in support of impeaching the President.
In east Memphis Monday morning, people were at the corner of Poplarand Ridgeway holding signs. They stayed there for three hours as part of MoveOn.org’s“Nobody is Above the Law” rally.
Organizers say they’re trying to peacefully encourage all membersof Congress to vote for an impeachment.
“I want to save our democracy. I mean, it’s a realthreat. I’m really terrified. I’m astonished. This is worse than Nixon, athousand-fold, and he just keeps getting away with it. We have to hold himaccountable,” said demonstrator Kalyna Hanover.
Pro-impeachment demonstrators were also out again Tuesdaynight.
MoveOn.org says more than 600 similar rallies wereplanned nationwide.
