Parasite found in swimming pools can cause “profuse, watery diarrhea”

The CDC says a parasite known as Crypto is infecting swimming pools and could literally turn your stomach.

(localmemphis.com) – The CDC says a parasiteknown as Crypto is infecting swimming pools and could literally turn yourstomach.

Crypto is spread by feces. Most people who areinfected with it get it from the pool, but you can get it from lakes, too.

It can cause “profuse, waterydiarrhea” for as long as three weeks. Chlorine and filters aren’t enoughto keep Crypto away.

Health experts say if you go to the pool,shower afterwards.
