A Shelby County Sheriff’s Office resource officer used pepper spray to break up a fight between students in the parking lot of Craigmont High School Wednesday morning.
The officer used pepper spray because they aren’t allowed to touch students.
A Memphis Police officer saw the fight happening and called the resource officer who was inside the school to come out.
Once the pepper spray was used the crowd dispersed, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
They say the school will handle the situation and the resource officer will most likely not be charged.
