Memphis police are investigating two separate deadly accidents that happened Friday.
The first happened just after 4:00 p.m. on I-240 near 385. Investigators say a driver was eastbound on I-240 when he tried to change lanes and lost control. The vehicle left the road, and hit a large metal pole. Roger Murray, 49, was taken to Regional One where he later died.
The second crash happened just before midnight at Airways and I-240, when a pedestrian was killed. Investigators was a man ran across Airways in front of a driver who was in the far left lane, traveling southbound. The pedestrian was taken to Regional One, where he died. Police say the driver did not have insurance, and was cited for Financial responsibility. The pedestrian’s name has not been released.
