LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (localmemphis.com) – A budding industry across Arkansas could soon see a growth spurt. Several of the new medical marijuana dispensaries in the state now want to add delivery services.
No one is delivering yet, but a few dispensaries are starting the process, which still needs the okay from the alcohol beverage control board.
Rules being laid out include having two people in the delivery vehicle, drivers would be in unmarked cars, and the marijuana would need to always be locked up.
Supporters say it will help people who have medical conditions that make it difficult to get to a dispensary.
There’s also an effort in Arkansas to get a referendum on the 2020 ballot to legalize recreational marijuana.
